  • 4 medium Russet potatoes (about 800g)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (30ml)
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (30g)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (100g)
  • ½ cup sour cream (120g)
  • 3 sliced green onions for garnish
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce (30ml)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (4g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash, peel, and cut the Russet potatoes into thin strips for optimal crispiness.
  3. In a bowl, toss potato strips with olive oil and Cajun seasoning until evenly coated. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  4. Spread the seasoned fries on the baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown.
  5. While baking, mix hot sauce and garlic powder in a small bowl.
  6. Once fries are done, sprinkle shredded cheese over them while still hot. Drizzle with the hot sauce mixture, then add sour cream and garnish with sliced green onions.
